Tijdens deze eerste academiesessie van Samen tegen Racisme leer je hoe je racisme en discriminatie effectief kunt aanpakken.
Als je een burgerinitiatief, individu of organisatie bent en wil bijdragen aan het bestrijden van racisme en discriminatie, maar daarin nog niet je weg hebt gevonden om je bijdrage te leveren of nog op zoek bent naar duidelijke doelstellingen en strategie voor je organisatie, dan is deze sessie voor jou!
Om verandering te bewerkstelligen is het belangrijk om concrete doelstellingen te hebben en op basis daarvan je strategie en stappen te bepalen. Maar hoe kom je tot heldere doelstellingen? En op welke manier bepaal je dan vervolgens een strategie? Deze sessie biedt handvatten en tools om je hierin te oriënteren. De workshop wordt op een interactieve manier gegeven, zodat je ook kunt leren van andere deelnemers. Daarnaast doe je inspiratie op uit verschillende strategieën uit de praktijk van diverse antiracismebewegingen in Nederland.
Fighting Racism: but what is my strategy?
During this first academic session by Samen tegen Racisme, you will learn how to effectively address racism and discrimination. If you are a civic initiative, individual, or organization that wants to contribute to combating racism and discrimination, but have not yet found your way in how to make that contribution, or are still searching for clear objectives and a strategy for your organization, then this session is for you!
To create change, it is important to have concrete objectives and to determine your strategy and steps based on them. But how do you arrive at clear objectives? And how do you then define a strategy? This session will provide guidance and tools to help you find your direction. The workshop will be delivered in an interactive way, allowing you to learn from other participants. You will also gain inspiration from various strategies used in practice by different anti-racism movements in the Netherlands.

Kevin-Ahn Kwang Soo-Groen is een gedragsverandering expert en spoken word & performancekunstenaar. Als gedragsverandering expert werkt hij al 20 jaren met internationale organisaties om het gedrag van de mensen en de cultuur op inclusieve en duurzame manieren te veranderen. Het afgelopen jaar heeft hij een tech kantoor geholpen een jarenlang seksisme probleem te confronteren, waarbij aan het einde van het jaar de inclusie scores van vrouwen verdrievoudigd zijn. In zijn artistieke werk confronteert hij publiek in binnen- en buitenland met onbewuste vooroordelen waarvan je niet eens wist dat je ze had.
Max Arto de Ploeg Bedoyan heeft meer dan tien jaar ervaring met het organiseren van activiteiten rondom het onderwerp racisme en dekolonisatie in de breedste zin van het woord. Onder andere als programmamaker en projectleider bij Pakhuis de Zwijger waarin hij samen met tientallen grassroots organisaties heeft samengewerkt binnen Samen Tegen Racisme en Week Tegen Racisme als ook diverse programma reeksen heeft opgezet. Daarnaast is hij mede-oprichter van Stichting Aralez waar hij diverse educatieve-, actie- en gemeenschapsgerichte projecten heeft geleid, een organisatie dat zich inzet voor dekolonisatie en herstel.

Kevin-Ahn Kwang Soo-Groen is a behavioral change expert and spoken word and performance artist who does not shy away from discomfort. As an adopted South Korean boy growing up in the Netherlands, “identity” has always been a central question in his life—one that only led to more questions.
Kevin does not confront to impress. He speaks to reveal. His work invites us to pause and reflect on what we usually avoid, and in doing so, to feel more alive. Moving between poetry, identity, and behavioral change, Kevin shows how words can bridge differences, challenge prejudice, and make us aware of our shared humanity.
Max Arto de Ploeg Bedoyan has over ten years of experience organizing activities around racism and decolonization in the broadest sense of the word. Among other roles, he has worked as a program maker and project leader at Pakhuis de Zwijger, where he collaborated with dozens of grassroots organizations within Together Against Racism and the Week Against Racism, and developed various program series. He is also co-founder of the Aralez Foundation, where he has led a range of educational, action-oriented, and community-based projects—an organization committed to decolonization and restoration.
