Meetup for a World Without Borders
4 december @ 20:00 - 22:00
The electoral wins and take over of power by extreme right-wing parties in the Netherlands has led to the a proclamation of an ‘asylum-crisis’. This so-called crisis has been the result of a two decades long normalisation of racism towards Muslims and migrants, where minorities are consistently scapegoated for economic issues stemming from neoliberal budget cuts. Come and join us to see how we can make a difference and strengthen networks around the issue of border racism. With the new Series “World without Borders,” Pakhuis de Zwijger aims to be a consistent platform for initiatives in the Netherlands and Amsterdam that are organising on the subjects of migration, belonging and border racism. During the event, you will have the opportunity to connect with other initiatives and discuss possible ideas, action plans, and program proposals for the new series. We believe that together, we can make a difference!
Before the programme begins, join us for dinner at 18:30 with a variety of participants and initiatives. Please purchase your dinner ticket here. Tickets are €24,50 (€23,50 plus a €1 service fee) and include dinner, a drink, and coffee or tea afterwards.
